Where to Buy Prom Dresses

Where To Buy Prom Dresses

Right now in the months of April and May many people are wondering Where to Buy Prom Dresses. I remember when I went to prom, honestly for me the best part was getting to shop and try on a ton of different prom dresses. With my limited budget I had to get creative, which is why I have complied a list of places where you can get a wide range of styles, colors and on trend prom dresses at very affordable prices – with most being under $100 dollars! Below are some places to get prom dresses online and locally.

Where to Buy Prom Dresses Locally

Ok, so the first local places that we checked for prom dresses was at Goodwill and Salvation Army or any other consignment store we could find for that matter. I know you already have your perfect dress designed in your head, so you may not find what you’re looking for at a consignment shop… but I always like to start there – because they have a good selection to look through and you can’t beat the prices.

You can either do a Google search for consignment shops in your area or for places like Goodwill or Salvation Army they have their own retail store locator on their websites that you can use to find the closet one to you.

Next up I always head to the mall, that’s actually where I found mine… at DEB to be exact. I don’t believe DEB is in business anymore or at least not in my local area, but Forever 21 is a great place to get the latest trending prom dresses, they’re known for on trend inexpensive clothing, I also like to find unique shoes there. Most all their prom dresses are under $50.

Two other places you can shop locally for prom dresses are TJ Maxx and JC Penny’s. Personally I prefer TJ Maxx, but you don’t always have a huge selection – so I also checkout JC Penny’s whilst I’m out looking around.

Where To Buy Prom Dresses Online

Can you buy prom dresses on Ebay and Amazon? Of course!

Although you don’t get the excitement and fun of trying on multiple dress by shopping online, you can save a ton of money. Ebay has quite a few prom dresses and you may be able to find used once prom dresses if you are looking for that. Amazon has a large selection and fast shipping so you could have the dress in a few days.

Here are a few websites, with more prom dress shopping options…

Prom Girl

Prom Girl is a super fun site to shop for prom dresses online, they have everything from simple and chic to off the charts glam. Prices range depending on your style and taste, but it’s all made simple by the ability to shop by price mark. They even have a “under $100” section, in case you have a tight budget.

LuLus

If you’re looking for flowy dresses, with a Grecian vibe mixed with a modern Oscars type of look – that’s under $100 dollars… I’d say Lulus is your place to shop online. They have a huge selection of prom dresses, shoes and accessories – all at affordable prices.

Rent Her Runway

This is another fun place to look around online for prom dresses, they have more of a retro meets vintage selection. Rent her Runway prices range from in the $50’s to $300 or so. They carry floral prints, solid colors and metallic blends. It’s kind of a fun site to just look around.

You can get Prom Dresses at Asos

Lastly to wrap things up, is alittle bit of a higher end site is Asos. They have more bridesmaid style dresses, but also a fun selection of retro, vintage, earthy and high glam. You can refine your searches by; style, dress type, size, length, color, price range and brand name. So you can easily narrow the search results down to a particular look that’s right for your prom’s theme.
